Trouble-shooting: Nominal Value: Cause of Fault:
(If nominal value is not attained)
The air/fuel mixture correction of the oxygen sensor regulation can be evaluated with the integrator.
If, e.g., the air/fuel mixture is too lean, the integrator value and therefore the injection period is increased until the oxygen sensor signals that the mixture is too rich.
The integrator is then decreased again and the injection period reduced until the oxygen sensor indicates a mixture that is too lean (closed loop).
Integrator = 128 means either: Stochiometric air/fuel ratio of approx. 14.5 parts by volume air to 1 part by volume fuel,
i.e. for the combustion of each fuel particle, there is one air particle available.
or: The circuit has been opened by the control unit, because a fault is present or because the
conditions for a closed loop have not yet been fulfilled.
Note: With a closed loop and faultless operation of the system, the integrator oscillates
constantly around a value of 128, i.e. 120 to 135, for example.
Integrator < 128 means: Mixture too rich, injection period is reduced.
Integrator > 128 means: Mixture too lean, injection period is increased

· In order to be able to evaluate a change in the integrator, the value of the 02 BLM IDLE THR. correction or 02 BLM PART THR. correction must also be evaluated.
· Clear trouble code
Integrator > 160 and O2 BLM correction < 128 then: wait until the system stabilizes itself (a few minutes)
Integrator > 160 and O2 BLM correction > 150 then: test step 09 part 3 mixture constantly too lean
(oxygen sensor voltage < 300 mV)
Integrator < 100 and O2 BLM correction > 128 then: wait until the system stabilizes itself (a few minutes)
Integrator < 100 and O2 BLM correction < 106 then: test step 09 part 2 mixture constantly too rich
(oxygen sensor voltage > 600 mV)
