· Final stage diagnosis in control unit:
Incorrect voltage condition at the outputs B 6 and / or B 7 of the control unit recognized during initialization (5 V instead of less than 0.1 V)
· Fault 72 is stored immediately following the initialization test
If the final stage diagnosis of the control unit has recognized an interruption of ignition signal lead EST A, the injectors of cylinder pair 1 - 4 are switched off (engine running on two cylinders).
If the final stage diagnosis of the control unit has recognized an interruption of ignition signal lead EST B, the injectors of cylinder pair 2 - 3 are switched off (engine running on two cylinders).
If an interruption in both ignition signal leads has been recognized, all injectors are switched off
(Engine does not operate).
