· This test step indicates whether the engine control unit is learning or not.
In condition INACTIVE the control unit is not able to carry out changes in the long - term corection memory.
The necessary mixture correction in the long - term memory can be undertaken only when the TECH 1 display changes to ACTIVE (the engine is then at operating temperature).
· If the TECH 1 display always indicates INACTIVE a malfunction is present.
