Oxygen Sensor, Remove and Install
The oxygen sensor can only be unscrewed carefully out of the exhaust manifold when engine is at operating temperature. When re-installing the oxygen sensor, its thread must be coated with special grease (black) - new oxygen sensors are pre-treated.
Disconnect wiring harness plug for oxygen sensor from front transmission bracket (arrow).
Unbolt oxygen sensor (arrow) from exhaust manifold from below.
Install oxygen sensor in exhaust manifold - 30 Nm / 22 lbf. ft. Before re-use, coat thread with special grease (black). .
Connect wiring harness plug for oxygen sensor on front transmission bracket.
