· Start engine

· Measure voltage:

from: wiring harness plug P 46 (sensor side)

to: ground

greater than 20 mV· Lead interruption

from: knock sensor P 46

to: ground (transfer resistance)

· Knock sensor defective

· Disconnect plug from knock module V 14

· Ignition ON

· Measure voltage:

from: wiring harness plug P 46 (wiring harness side)

to: groundgreater than 4.5 V· Lead interruption

from: control unit plug K 57 Ter. D 3

to: knock sensor P 46

· Short circuit in wiring harness

from: wiring harness plug P 46

to: battery + (+ 12 V)

· Short circuit in wiring harness
