· Coolant temperature higher than 85 °C/185 °F
· Intake manifold absolute pressure less than 185 hPa (deceleration, e.g. possible in 4th gear from 120 km/h (75 mph) downwards)
· Throttle valve aperture less than 2 %
· Following trouble codes not stored: 21, 22, 33, 34.
· Incorrect signal from speed sensor.
Vehicle speed less than 14 km/h (9 mph)
· Above conditions must be fulfilled for at least 19 s.
Only for control units up to Model Year 91: C 14 NZ
· The above conditions must be fulfilled for at least 1 s
Only for control units as of Model Year 92:
C 12 NZ, C 14 NZ
If the speed sensor has malfunctioned and trouble code 24 has not yet been recognized, trouble code 35 may be set under certain circumstances.
