Note:

In this mode, the imo signal for the engine control unit can be programmed. This is necessary when a new engine control unit is installed in a vehicle or when a new immobiliser control unit is installed and the engine control unit has to "learn" the new imo signal from the immobiliser control unit.

Press key F7 in the system main menu, select the desired test using the arrow keys and confirm with YES. Follow the instructions on the TECH 1 display.

Ignition OFF

Wait 12 seconds

Note:

Before the ignition is switched on, a waiting period of at least 12 seconds must have elapsed since the last time the ignition was switched off, as otherwise the engine control unit does not send a new request for the imo signal to the immobiliser control unit (control unit run- on period).

Ignition ON

Note:

After the ignition is switched on, the imo signal is programmed into the engine control unit. TECH 1 shows the display on the right:

IMMOBILISER

PLEASE WAIT

If the display on the right appears, an imo signal has already been programmed into the engine control unit.

ALREADY PROGRAM.

REPROGRAM?

If the display on the right appears, the immobiliser control unit is not programmed. To be able to program the engine control unit, the immobiliser control unit must first be programmed.
