· Ignition OFF

· Disconnect wiring harness plug:

10 plug, engine & injectors

· Ignition ON

· Using multimeter, measure voltage:

from: X10 plug, engine & injectors Ter. 15 (wiring harness side) (Corsa-B, Tigra)

to: ground

higher than 11 V· Check according to data list no. 12 FUEL PUMP RELAY

· Using multimeter, measure voltage

from: X10 plug, engine & injectors Ter. 15 (component side) (Corsa-B, Tigra)

to: ground

lower than 0.1 V
· Short circuit to voltage

from: X10 plug, engine & injectors Ter. 15 (component side) (Corsa-B, Tigra)

to: X10 plug, engine & injectors Ter. 3 (component side) (Corsa-B, Tigra)

· Using multimeter, measure resistance:

from: X10 plug, engine & injectors Ter. 15 (component side) (Corsa-B, Tigra)

to: groundhigher than 100 kW (¥)
· Short circuit to ground

from: X10 plug, engine & injectors Ter. 15 (component side) (Corsa-B, Tigra)

· Using multimeter, measure resistance:

· Circuit interruption

· Y18 exhaust gas recirculation solenoid valve defective

· Disconnect wiring harness plug from:

K57 engine control unit

· Using multimeter, measure voltage:

to: ground

lower than 0.1 V· Short circuit to voltage

from: K57 wiring harness plug for engine control unit Ter. F1

to: X10 plug, engine & injectors Ter. 3 (control unit side) (Corsa-B, Tigra)

· Using multimeter, measure resistance:

from: X10 plug, engine & injectors Ter. 3 (control unit side) (Corsa-B, Tigra)

to: ground

higher than 100 kW (¥)
· Short circuit to ground

from: K57 wiring harness plug for engine control unit Ter. F1

to: X10 plug, engine & injectors Ter. 3 (control unit side) (Corsa-B, Tigra)

· Using multimeter, measure resistance:

from: X10 plug, engine & injectors Ter. 3 (control unit side) (Corsa-B, Tigra)

to: K57 wiring harness plug for engine control unit Ter. F1lower than 2 W· Circuit interruption

to: X10 plug, engine & injectors Ter. 3 (control unit side) (Corsa-B, Tigra)

· Check control unit calibration, see field remedy measures

Latest program memory (EPROM) according to field remedy measures or TIs
· Replace program memory (EPROM) according to field remedy measures or TIs
If nominal values are attained and latest program memory is installed· K57 engine control unit defective

Astra- F:

· Ignition OFF

· Disconnect wiring harness plug from:

18 exhaust gas recirculation solenoid valve

· Using multimeter, measure voltage

from: Y18 exhaust gas recirculation solenoid valve Ter. E (wiring harness side) (Astra- F)

to: ground

higher than 11 V
· Short circuit to ground or circuit interruption

from: Y18 exhaust gas recirculation solenoid valve Ter. E (wiring harness side) (Astra- F)

to: S1 ignition lock Ter. 15

· Using multimeter, measure voltage

from: Y18 exhaust gas recirculation solenoid valve Ter. A (wiring harness side) (Astra- F)

to: ground

lower than 0.1 V
· Short circuit to voltage

from: Y18 exhaust gas recirculation solenoid valve Ter. A

to: K57 wiring harness plug for engine control unit Ter. F1

· Using multimeter, measure resistance:

from: Y18 exhaust gas recirculation solenoid valve Ter. A (wiring harness side) (Astra- F)

to: ground

higher than 100 kW (¥)· Short circuit to ground

from: Y18 exhaust gas recirculation solenoid valve Ter. A

to: K57 wiring harness plug for engine control unit Ter. F1

· Using dwell tester, measure:

from: Y18 exhaust gas recirculation solenoid valve Ter. A (control unit side) (Astra- F)

to: Y18 exhaust gas recirculation solenoid valve Ter. E (wiring harness side) (Astra- F)

· Using TECH 1, carry out:

F5:ACTUATOR TEST

LINEAR EGR
