| 26 | · The knock sensor voltage is measured by the control unit via an internal evaluation logic. The fault is recognized over an extended period of time |
· Knock sensor signal (noise value) less than 1 V
· Knock sensor signal (noise value) greater than 4 V
· Above conditions must be fulfilled for at least 2 s
· If trouble code 16 was recognized, RON 91 is selected as the replacement value for the octane number. This guarantees (by retarding the firing angle) that the engine is protected against knocking combustion.
