Fuel System
Injection nozzle
This engine generation is the first to use twin jet injection nozzles (double cone).
The main differentiating feature of this design from conventional injection nozzles is the two fuel openings arranged at an angle of 20° to one another. These produce two fuel cones when the injection nozzle is activated by the control unit.

Fuel distributor pipe
These nozzles must always remain in a very precisely defined installation position. Any turning on the longitudinal axis will lead to deterioration of the exhaust emissions.
In order to fix the injection nozzle in the ideal position, sheet metal lugs are attached to the fuel distributor pipe at the height of each nozzle which only permit one possible installation position.
