24NO VEHICLE SPEED14· An incorrect vehicle speed is determined at
SIGNAL15the speed sensor. (< 14 km/h/8.7 mph)
· Engine runs, coolant temperature > 85°C/185°F.
· Intake manifold absolute pressure < 18.5 kPa
(e.g. coasting).
· Throttle valve potentiometer TPS recognizes a
voltage value corresponding to an aperture < 2%
· Engine speed between 2200 and 4400 rpm
· Trouble codes 21, 22, 33, 34 not stored.
· Conditions must exist for longer than 19.0* sec.
(Only C 14 NZ up to Feb. '91).
Conditions must exist for longer than 1.0 sec.
(C 12 NZ MY' 91 and C 14 NZ as of Feb. '91)
* E.g. while coasting in 4th gear downwards from
120 km/h (70 MPH).
! If there is a malfunction in the speed sensor,
and trouble code 24 is not yet recognized, trouble
code 35 may be set under certain circumstances.
