Trouble-shooting:Nominal Value:Cause of Fault:
(If nominal value is not attained)

The injection period is an internal value of the control unit.

If the injection period deviates considerably from the above values, check the following points:

All consumers switched off ?

COOLANT TEMP. (P 30) OK ? (test step 03)

INTAKE AIR TEMP. (P 29) OK ? (test step 04)

O2 SENSOR LOOP closed OK ? (test step 17)

O2 INTEGRATOR OK ? (test step 19)

O2 BLM CELL NO. OK ? (test step 21)

O2 BLM CELL CONT OK ? (test step 22)

PARK/NEUTRAL SW. in idle position (P-N) OK ? (test step 09)

TPS SIGNAL (P 34) OK ? (test step 06)

MAP SENSOR (P 23) OK ? (test step 05)

IDLE AIR CONTROL (M 66) OK ? (test step 15)

If all the above checking points are OK: disconnect control unit from the vehicle electrical system (reset), repeat check

· Select TECH 1 mode "F8"

· Using arrow keys, increase idle speed (1800 rpm)

· Switch off consumers

1.2 to 1.4 ms

· Using arrow key on TECH 1, adjust to 800 rpm

The injection period should increase slightly due to a decrease in the engine speed
