If the display ENABLED appears on TECH 1 during a test drive in the partial load range, initiate trouble - shooting.

· In case the values read off by TECH 1 deviate from the nominal values noted above, check the various sensor input signals:
1. Mass airflow meter
2. Throttle valve potentiometer
| 3. Controlled canister purge valve |
4. Coolant temperature
Similarly check the following possible causes for engine knock:
1. Spark plugs with incorrect heat rating
2. Spark plugs with carbon deposits
| 3. Defective spark plug connector | 4. Damaged ignition cable |
5. Valves with combustion residue
