· This test step indicates whether the engine control unit is learning or not.
In INACTIVE status, the control unit is not in a position to carry out adjustments / changes in its permanent correction memory.
Only when the TECH 1 display changes to ACTIVE (the engine is then at operating temperature) can an essential mixture correction be taken over in the permanent memory.
· If INACTIVE is constantly indicated in the TECH 1 display, there is a malfunction.
