Possible trouble codes: 83, 84, 85

Note:

This mode can be used to program the engine control unit's imo signal. This is necessary when a new control unit is installed in a vehicle or when a new immobiliser control unit is installed and the engine control unit has to "learn" the new imo signal from the immobiliser control unit.

Press key F7 in the system main menu, use the arrow keys to select the desired test and confirm with YES. Follow the instructions in the TECH 1 display.

Ignition OFF

Wait 12 seconds

Note:

Before the ignition is switched on, a waiting period of at least 12 seconds must have elapsed since the last time the ignition was switched off, as otherwise the engine control unit does not send a new request to the immobiliser control unit for the imo signal (control unit run-on period).

Ignition ON

Note:

After the ignition is switched on, the imo signal is programmed into the engine control unit. TECH 1 shows the display on the right:

IMMOBILISER

PLEASE WAIT

ALREADY PROGRAM.

REPROGRAM?

If the display on the right appears, the immobiliser control unit is not programmed. To be able to program the engine control unit, the immobiliser control unit must first be programmed.
