Primary Circuit
In the event that the pressure in the suction pipe is less than ambient pressure, the ambient air is sucked into the inlet manifold through the active carbon container via a non-return valve and the tank ventilation valve controlled by the engine management system.
The suction air that has been enriched with petrol vapour is then burned in the engine.
Secondary Circuit
In the event that the pressure in the inlet manifold is greater than the ambient pressure, the non-return valve of the secondary circuit is opened and the suction air, enriched with petrol vapours is then conducted to the suction side of the turbocharger.
