"Neutral torque axis engine suspension (NTA engine suspension)" is used for all Vectra-C engine versions. The function corresponds to that of the systems in the Corsa-C, Astra-G and Zafira, but has been optimised.
The use of the NTA engine suspension as well as the body-insulated front axle body, optimally reduces the transmission of noise and vibration to the passenger compartment.
The engine's load change reactions are absorbed by a reaction members (rubber mounts) at the front and rear of the front axle body.
The engine / transmission mountings consist of two hydraulically-functioning rubber mounts:
- On the engine timing side, the rubber mount is bolted vertically to the upper right frame side member.
- The second rubber mount is fastened to the left frame side member and is bolted vertically to the transmission housing.
