Detaching and Attaching Components, Cylinder Head Opel Vectra C

Remove

1. 1. Detach camshaft sprockets • Counterhold camshafts at hex of camshaft • Unscrew 2x bolt
2. 2. Detach rear toothed belt cover (1) • Unclip wiring harness • Unscrew 4x bolt (2) • Remove camshaft sensor by twisting

3. 3. Detach intake manifold (2) from cylinder head • Unscrew 5 bolts (1 and 3) • Remove gasket.

4. 4. Disconnect 4x injection valve (1) wiring harness plugs

5. 5. Detach intake manifold flange (1) • Unscrew 8x bolts (3) • Unscrew 2x nut (2) • Remove gasket.

6. 6. Detach metal EGR pipe (2) • Unscrew 4x bolts (1) and (3)

7. 7. Detach coolant flange (3) • Detach cable ties (1) – Unscrew 2x bolt (2) • Unscrew 4x bolts (4) and (5)

8. 8. Detach oil pressure switch

Install

9. 9. Attach oil pressure switch 20 Nm • Use new seal ring.
10. 10. Install coolant flange • Attach coolant flange to cylinder head with new gasket – Tighten 4x bolt 8 Nm
11. 11. Attach metal EGR pipe • Tighten 4x bolt 10 Nm
12. 12. Attach intake manifold flange • Use new gasket • Tighten 8x bolt 20 Nm • Tighten 2x nut 20 Nm • Connect injection valve wiring harness plugs • Connect PDA system vacuum unit wiring harness plug
13. 13. Attach intake manifold to cylinder head • Replace gasket • Tighten 5x bolt 8 Nm
14. 14. Attach rear toothed belt cover • Insert camshaft sensor • Tighten 4x bolts 6 Nm – Clean 4x thread • Clip wiring harness into position
15. 15. Attach camshaft sprockets • Counterhold camshafts at hex of camshaft • Tighten 2x bolts 50 Nm + 60° + 15°
