Replace (Rear) Crankshaft Seal Ring Opel Vectra C

Remove

1. 1. Remove flywheel
2. 2. Remove pulse emitter crankshaft (2) from pulse emitter holder • Remove bolt (1)

3. 3. Lever plastic ring (1) out using screwdriver (2)

Important. A hole may only be punched within the areas (1) at 5 o'clock and 7 o'clock, as cavities are located there behind the sealing ring.

4. 4. Punch a hole in the sealing ring using a suitable tool, e.g. an awl (2) • Place awl on outer edge of sealing ring

Important. The hole diameter must not exceed 2 mm else the screw of KM-6624 cannot bite

5. 5. Remove sealing ring • Attach KM-6624 (1) to sealing ring – Tighten bolt • Attach KM-328-B to KM-6624 • Knock out sealing ring with KM-328-B (2) in conjunction with KM-6624

Install

6. 6. Fit new sealing ring • Position sealing ring so that the pulse emitter holder lies above the corresponding recess on the cylinder block • Press sealing ring over crankshaft and press flush until it sits evenly in the cylinder block

Note. Do not press in sealing ring completely

7. 7. Install sealing ring with KM-6623 (1) • Tighten 3x bolt (2) • Press in sealing ring to stop – Screw in bolt (3)

8. 8. Detach KM-6623 • Unscrew 3x bolt
9. 9. Attach pulse emitter crankshaft to pulse emitter holder • Tighten bolt 4,5 Nm
10. 10. Install flywheel
