How to Check the Timing Opel Vectra C

Remove

1. 1. Open bonnet
2. 2. Detach front toothed belt cover (upper)
3. 3. Raise vehicle
4. 4. Detach lower engine compartment cover / splash protection
5. 5. Set engine to combustion TDC • Set torsional vibration damper in engine rotation direction to "Cylinder 1 combustion TDC" (mark 1)

Install

6. 6. Lower vehicle
7. 7. Insert KM-6340 in camshaft gears • Attach left KM-6340 (1) to inlet camshaft sprocket • Insert right KM-6340 (2)
8. 8. Timing, Check • Marks (3) at KM-6340 must align – If the timing marks do not correspond, adjust the timing
9. 9. Raise vehicle
10. 10. Fit lower engine compartment cover / splash protection
11. 11. Lower vehicle

12. 12. Remove KM-6340
13. 13. Attach front toothed belt cover (upper)
14. 14. Close bonnet
