Replace Right-Hand Engine Damping Block Opel Vectra C

Remove

  1. 1. Remove air cleaner housing
  2. 2. Raise vehicle by its entire height
  3. 3. Remove lower engine compartment cover and right-hand engine splash guard if present
  4. 4. Attach KM-6313 (1) • Place KM-6313 on left on front axle body (arrows, Fig. I) • Attach both right holders on the front axle body (arrows, Illus. II). • Tighten 2x bolt • Adjust support bearings front and rear – Raise support bearings to stop on guide journals

Note. Attaching KM-6313 guarantees perfect alignment of the drive unit to the front axle body

Note. Guide pin must be seated in bore in front axle body

Note. Guide pin must be seated in bore in front axle body (arrow, Illus. III)

Note. Guide journals must sit play-free in support bearings

  1. 5. Adjust 3x support • Transmission side • Engine Timing Side

Note. Turn spindles until the mounts (1) are positioned at the guide journals free of play

Note. Insert support journal into cylinder block bore without play (arrow). Tighten bolts, nut and support

  1. 6. Lower vehicle by its entire height
  2. 7. Detach engine damping block from engine damping block support • Loosen engine bracket adapter – Unscrew 3x bolt (1) • Loosen engine damping block – Unscrew 2x bolt – Unscrew nut (2)
  1. 8. Detach engine damping block from mount (1) • Clamp mount in vice – Loosen bolt

Install

  1. 9. Attach engine damping block to mount • Tighten bolt 55 Nm – Remove mount from vice
  2. 10. Install engine damping block • Fasten engine bracket adapter – Tighten 3x bolt 55 Nm • Fasten engine damping block – Tighten 2x bolt 55 Nm – Tighten nut 55 Nm
  3. 11. Raise vehicle by its entire height
  4. 12. Detach 3x support • Lower 3 brackets • Release 2x bolt
  5. 13. Detach KM-6313 • Release 2x bolt
  6. 14. Install lower engine compartment cover and right-hand engine splash guard if present
  7. 15. Lower vehicle by its entire height
  8. 16. Install air cleaner housing
  9. 17. Close bonnet
