Replace Toothed Belt Deflector Roller Opel Vectra C

Remove

1. 1. Remove front toothed belt cover (lower)
2. 2. Detach KM-6625 • Remove screwed connection
3. 3. Set engine to TDC • Screw in torsional vibration damper bolt • Move crankshaft to cylinder no.1 TDC in direction of engine rotation (arrows)

4. 4. Lower vehicle
5. 5. Fix camshaft sprockets in position using KM-6340 • Position camshaft sprockets so that the marks (3) are facing each other • Attach KM-6340-Left (1) to inlet camshaft sprocket • Insert KM-6340-Right (2)

6. 6. Release the tension in the toothed belt • Tighten toothed belt tensioner (2) with Allen key (1) in direction of arrow and fix in position with KM-6333 (3)
7. 7. Remove toothed belt deflector roller (4) • Remove bolt (5)

Install

Important. It is vital to clean the thread

8. 8. Clean thread in cylinder block
9. 9. Install toothed belt deflector roller • Tighten bolt 25 Nm – Apply screw locking compound
10. 10. Tension toothed belt • Tension toothed belt tensioner and remove KM-6333
11. 11. Remove KM-6340
12. 12. Raise vehicle
13. 13. Turn crankshaft 720° • 2 turns in direction of engine rotation • Move toothed belt drive wheel to cylinder no.1 TDC mark (arrows)

14. 14. Lower vehicle
15. 15. Fix camshaft sprockets in position using KM-6340 • Insert KM-6340-Left (1) • Insert KM-6340-Right (2)

Note. Marks (3) at KM-6340 must align - otherwise remove toothed belt and refit

16. 16. Remove KM-6340
17. 17. Raise vehicle
18. 18. Block crankshaft. • Attach KM-6625 – Remove screwed connection (1) – Insert KM-6625 (2) – Tighten screwed joint (3)

19. 19. Attach front toothed belt cover (lower)
