Replace Front Centre Toothed Belt Cover Opel Vectra C

Remove

1. 1. Remove front lower toothed belt cover
2. 2. Attach KM-6313 (1) • Unclip steering wiring harness • Place KM-6313 on left on front axle body (arrows, Fig. II) • Tighten 2x bolt • Adjust support bearings front and rear – Raise support bearings to stop on guide journals

Note. Attaching KM-6313 guarantees perfect alignment of the drive unit to the front axle body

Note. Guide pin must be seated in bore in front axle body (arrow, Illus. III).

Note. Guide journals must sit play-free in support bearings

3. 3. Adjust 3x support • Transmission side • Engine Timing Side

Note. Turn spindles until the mounts (1) are positioned at the guide journals free of play

Note. Insert support journal into cylinder block bore without play (arrow). Tighten bolts, nut and support

4. 4. Lower vehicle by its entire height
5. 5. Detach engine damping block (1) from mount (3) and right side member • Unscrew 3x bolt (2) • Unscrew 2x bolt (4) and nut (5)

6. 6. Remove engine damping block support (1) • Unscrew 3x bolt (2)

7. 7. Remove toothed belt cover (centre) • Unclip 2x from toothed belt cover (rear)

Install

8. 8. Install toothed belt cover (centre) • Clip 2x to toothed belt cover (rear)
9. 9. Install engine damping block support • Tighten 3x bolt 50 Nm
10. 10. Install engine damping block • Attach to mounting block – Tighten 3x bolt 55 Nm • Attach to side member – Tighten 2x bolt 55 Nm – Tighten nut 55 Nm
11. 11. Raise vehicle by its entire height
12. 12. Detach 3x support • Lower 3 brackets • Release 2x bolt
13. 13. Detach KM-6173 • Release 4x bolts
14. 14. Install front toothed belt cover (lower)
