How to Replace the Engine Mounting (Engine Damping Block) (Both Sides) Opel Vectra C

(Z 32 Se, with Air Conditioning, with Auxiliary Heating, Lhd)

  1. 1. Open bonnet
  2. 2. Disconnect battery. • Detach ground cable
  3. 3. Raise vehicle
  4. 4. Detach ribbed V-belt cover • Unscrew 4x bolt
  1. 5. Unclip 2x power steering hydraulic line • From front axle body
  2. 6. Attach KM-6313 (1) • Place KM-6313 on left on front axle body (arrows, Fig. I) • Attach both right holders on the front axle body (arrows, Illus. II). • Tighten 2x bolt

Note. Guide pin must be seated in bore in front axle body

  1. 7. Attach support (3) • Attach KM-6313-9 (1) – Tighten bolt (2) • Screw in nut (5)
  2. 8. Adjust 3x support • Transmission side • Engine Timing Side • Tighten bolts

Note. Turn spindles until the mounts (6) are positioned at the guide journals free of play

Note. Insert front support journal into bracket bore without play, tighten nut (4)

  1. 9. Lower vehicle
  2. 10. Remove air cleaner housing (1) • Detach wiring harness plug (2). • Unclip wiring harness (4) • Detach intake hose – Release clamp (3)
  1. 11. Remove right engine damping block • Loosen engine bracket adapter – Unscrew 3x bolt (1) • Loosen engine damping block – Unscrew 2x bolt (2) – Unscrew nut (3)
  2. 12. Install right engine damping block • Tighten engine damping block – Tighten 2x bolt – Tightening torque 55 Nm • Tighten nuts – Tightening torque 55 Nm • Tighten engine bracket adapter – Tighten 3x bolt – Tightening torque 55 Nm
  3. 13. Install air cleaner housing • Install suction hose – Tighten clamp – Tightening torque 3,5 Nm • Connect wiring harness plug. • Attach wiring harness
  1. 14. Remove battery. • Remove cover • Detach positive cable (1) • Remove bracket (2) – Remove bolt (3)
  1. 15. Remove battery support (1) • Disconnect ground distribution – Remove bolt (4) • Disconnect positive distribution – Remove bolt (2) • Unscrew 3x bolt (3) • Unclip coolant hose (5)
  1. 16. Detach left engine damping block bracket • Unscrew 3x bolt (2)
  2. 17. Release left engine damping block • Unscrew 4x bolt (1)
  1. 18. Detach engine damping block support (1) • Unscrew 3x bolt (2) • Remove left engine damping block (3)
  1. 19. Attach engine damping block support • Insert left engine damping block • Tighten 3x bolt – Tightening torque 55 Nm
  2. 20. Fasten left engine damping block • Tighten 4x bolt – Tightening torque 20 Nm
  3. 21. Secure left engine damping block bracket • Tighten 3x bolt – Tightening torque 55 Nm
  4. 22. Install battery support • Tighten 3x bolt – Tightening torque 25 Nm • Attach ground distribution – Tighten bolt • Attach positive distribution – Tighten bolt • Attach wiring harness • Clip in coolant hose.
  5. 23. Install battery. • Install bracket – Tighten bolt • Attach positive cable • Install cover
  6. 24. Raise vehicle
  7. 25. Detach 3x support • Engine Timing Side – Detach KM-6313-9 • Transmission side
  8. 26. Detach KM-6313
  9. 27. Clip in 2x power steering hydraulic line • To front axle body
  10. 28. Install ribbed V-belt cover • Screw in 4x bolt
  11. 29. Lower vehicle
  12. 30. Connect battery.
  13. 31. Close bonnet
  14. 32. Program volatile memories
