L Functioning When in Neutral and During Towing (Primary Circuit)

When the throttle body is only slightly open or closed, negative pressure exists in the inlet manifold.

The oil mist from the crank case is conducted from the oil collector through a hole in the cylinder head to a non-return valve in the inlet manifold.

In the inlet manifold, the oil mist is mixed with the inlet air and then conducted to the cylinder combustion chamber, where combustion takes place.

Here, the oil mist is mixed with the inlet air from the turbocompressor and conducted through the inlet manifold of the engine into the cylinders themselves.

Ii Functioning When Under Partial Load or Full Load (Secondary Circuit)

When the throttle body is opened further, the pressure in the inlet pipe of the engine is relatively high. This means that no negative pressure is present that will cause the oil mist to be sucked into the inlet pipe of the engine.

In this case, the non-return valve is closed. The oil mist is conducted through a pipe from the oil collector/cylinder head to the inlet of the turbocompressor, where negative pressure is present.
