- 1. Remove oil pan
- 2. Turn crankshaft so that the con-rod covers for cylinders 5 and 6 (1) are accessible
- 3. Mark 2x con-rod cover (1) • Mark con-rod cover and con-rod
Note. It is essential that each con-rod cover can be allocated to the con-rod concerned in the correct installation direction on assembly
- 4. Remove 2x con-rod bearing cover • Unscrew 4x bolt (1)
Important. The mating surfaces of the con-rod and con-rod bearing cap form an individual fit and must not be confused or damaged. Do not lay down on mating surfaces.
- 5. Remove 4x bearing shell (2) • Mark con-rod bearing shells

- 6. Install 2x con-rod bearing cap • Clean con-rod bearing journal and con-rod bearing shells and coat with engine oil • Insert con-rod bearing shells • Replace bolts • Tighten 4x bolts 30 Nm + release bolts + 25 Nm + 110°
Important. Note paint marking applied to the con-rod and con-rod bearing cover

- 8. Mark 2x con-rod cover • Mark con-rod cover and con-rod

- 17. Install oil pan
