The following tables provides the information sensor and die possible causes for each trouble code. At the same time, the conditions under which the trouble code is set are specified. To find the faulty circuit or defective part, read off the remedial measure from the reference test step no -. in the FO: DATA LIST.

Coolant temperature higher than 40 °C / 104 °F (C 18 XE) or higher than 31 °C / 88 °F (X 20 XEV)

or

Engine running in load range

Coolant temperature higher than 45 °C / 113 °F (C 18 XE) or higher than 31 °C / 88 °F (X 20 XEV)

· Control unit has recognized at least 30 lean - rich - lean changes (oxygen sensor jumps) at the oxygen sensor input

· Difference between average maximum and average minimum oxygen sensor voltage is less than 1.0 V (oxygen sensor voltage variation too small)

· Conditions must be fulfilled for at least 5.0 s

Effects:

· The oxygen sensor control and tank vent valve control are blocked

· The tank vent valve is actuated to a minimum value.
