Control Unit
The electronic control unit for the Motronic M 2.8.1 is located on the left in the engine compartment, in front of the left spring strut dome, in the relay frame.
The control unit functions of the Motronic M 2.8.1 correspond on the whole to those of the Motronic M 2.8.
The functions for stereo oxygen sensor control, intake manifold switchover, secondary air injection, exhaust gas recirculation and the Traction Control (FC) have been integrated into the system and the characteristic maps have been adapted.
