· Incorrect total for preheater system

· Condition must be fulfilled for at least 3 s

Effects:

· If the preheater control is defective, the starting ability of the engine when cold is compromised.

Note:

An incorrect total in the preheater system is recognized if:

· one or more glow pencils are defective

or

· an interruption or a short circuit to battery voltage or

ground is recognized in the DIA (diagnosis) lead (terminal 41)

or

· an interruption or a short circuit to battery voltage or

ground is recognized in the PHC (preheater control) lead (terminal 8)

or

· the regulator for the preheater time relay is defective
