Introduction Opel Omega B

Introduction

This brochure is published to coincide with the availability of the new TECH 1 Program Module "Opel / Vauxhall 87 - 94 ECU" and "Opel / Vauxhall Omega - B 1994 ECU" and to provide the latest information necessary for the workshop personnel to be able to use the new program modules to their full potential in fault analysis of the electronically controlled vehicle systems.

The TECH 1 Program Module "Opel / Vauxhall 87 - 94 ECU" is a summary of all electronically controlled systems developed by Opel / Vauxhall that can be checked using TECH 1. Only this makes it possible to perform diagnosis on all systems using just one program module. The previously issued program modules are now replaced by the new program module.

The Omega - B, however, is an exception. Because of the multitude of new electronically controlled systems, the remaining storage capacity of the Program Module "Opel / Vauxhall 87 - 94 ECU" was not sufficient to store all electronically controlled vehicle systems of the Omega - B. Therefore the Program Module "Opel / Vauxhall Omega - B 1994 ECU" was developed.

Checking Procedures, the relevant vehicle circuit diagrams and the TECH 1 Operating Instructions, it is possible to diagnose and eliminate a fault in an electronically controlled vehicle system efficiently and quickly.

Of the checking procedures listed above, always use the most recent brochure that contains the system being diagnosed. Electronically controlled vehicle systems which are not included in the above brochures should be diagnosed according to the relevant system Checking Procedures.

This brochure therefore lists all electronically controlled vehicle systems introduced in Model Year 94 or Model Year 94.5 or to which modifications have been made.

The brochure was divided into three parts to facilitate the use of these Checking Instructions.

The following table lists the electronically controlled vehicle systems (electronic engine systems) treated in part 1 of these Checking Instructions.
