· Engine speed higher than 672 rpm (X 20 XEV) or 704 rpm (C 18 XE/ C 18 XEL)
· Mass air flow meter signal lower than 5.1 kg/ h (short circuit to ground or circuit interruption)
· Conditions must be fulfilled for at least 3 s
Replacement values:
· Trouble codes 21 and 22 not recognised:
The control unit calculates with an air mass computed internally from the engine speed and the throttle valve angle
· Trouble code 21 or 22 recognised:
The control unit calculates with an air mass resulting from the engine speed
Effects:
· With the exception of throttle valve adaptation, all adaptation is blocked
· Tank vent valve regulation is blocked, the tank vent valve is closed
If trouble codes 21 or 22 were recognised:
· Oxygen sensor regulation is blocked
