How to Replace the Pressure Regulator Opel Omega B

Warning: Fuel escapes. Observe safety regulations and national legislation.

Remove

1. 1. Remove intake manifold – see operation "Intake Manifold, Remove and Install".

Note. Before assembling, the high-pressure pump must be cleaned and dried in the area of the pressure regulator.

2. 2. Detach wiring harness plug (3) from pressure regulator (1).
3. 3. Remove fastening bolts (2).

Important. Important:

4. 4. Pressure regulator must not be levered out of high-pressure pump with the aid of tools.
5. 5. Pull pressure regulator at housing out of high-pressure pump by hand with twisting motion.

Install

6. 6. Install new pressure regulator by hand in the high pressure pump, turning clockwise

Note. Do not use any tools!

7. 7. Attach fastening bolts for pressure regulator • Tightening torque 9 Nm
8. 8. Attach wiring harness plug to pressure regulator.
9. 9. Install intake manifold • see operation "Intake Manifold, Remove and Install".

Note. To vent the fuel system: Switch on ignition and leave switched on for approx. 1 minute. The fuel system is vented during this period - do not start engine!
