Replace Pressure Accumulator for Injection System Opel Vectra C

Important. When working on the fuel system maintaining cleanliness is essential, otherwise small particles of dirt may result in engine operating faults or fuel system faults. Open fuel connections must be sealed off with suitable sealing plugs from the kit (45 06 154). Sealing plugs are designed for single use only.

1. 1. Open bonnet
2. 2. Waiting period for pressure release
3. 3. Disconnect battery.
4. 4. Detach engine cover. • Unscrew 2x bolt • Unscrew oil filler cap • Remove engine cover • Screw in oil filler cap
5. 5. Detach wiring harness • Unscrew 4x bolt (1) • Disconnect 4x injector wiring harness plugs (2)

6. 6. Detach fuel pressure controller (1) of return system • Unscrew 2x bolt • Detach 4x hoses – Use KM-796-A

7. 7. Remove pressure line (1) • Unscrew 2x union nut

Important. Counterhold with open-ended wrench when releasing the lock nut on the high pressure diesel fuel pump.

8. 8. Remove 4x pressure lines • Release 8x lock nuts (1)

Important. When releasing the lock nut, counterhold at injector with open-ended wrench

9. 9. Remove pressure reservoir (1) • Unscrew 2x nut • Disconnect 2x wiring harness plug
10. 10. Install pressure reservoir • Connect 2x wiring harness plug • 2x nuts 25 Nm

11. 11. Install 4x pressure lines • Renew 4x pressure lines • 4x lock nuts (M14) 30 Nm • 4x lock nuts (M12) 22 Nm

Important. Pressure lines may only be installed once. When fastening the lock nuts, counterhold at the injector with an open-ended wrench.

12. 12. Install pressure line • Renew pressure line • Lock nut (M12) 22 Nm • Lock nut (M14) 30 Nm

Important. Pressure line may only be fitted once. When fixing the lock nut to the high pressure diesel fuel pump, counterhold with open-ended wrench.

13. 13. Attach fuel pressure controller of return system • Attach 4x hoses – Replace leaked oil hose on damping case • Tighten 2x bolt
14. 14. Attach wiring harness • Tighten 4x bolt • Connect 4x injector wiring harness plugs
15. 15. Attach engine cover. • Unscrew oil filler cap • Place engine cover in position • Screw in oil filler cap • 2x bolts 9 Nm
16. 16. Connect battery.
17. 17. Check fuel system for leaks • Start engine.

Important. Wear protective goggles and gloves.

Note. Check fuel system for escaping fuel.

18. 18. Close bonnet
19. 19. Program volatile memories
