How to Replace the Sensor - Oil Temperature Opel Vectra C

  1. 1. Open bonnet
  2. 2. Raise vehicle
  3. 3. Remove lower engine cover (1) • Unscrew 10x bolt
  1. 4. Drain engine oil • Place collecting basin underneath. • Remove drain bolt
  2. 5. Disconnect wiring harness plug (1) from oil temperature sensor.
  3. 6. Remove oil temperature sensor (2)
  1. 7. Install oil temperature sensor • Replace seal ring • Tighten sensor – Tightening torque 18 Nm
  2. 8. Tighten drain bolt • Replace seal ring • Tightening torque 10 Nm
  3. 9. Connect wiring harness plug to oil temperature sensor.
  4. 10. Install lower engine cover • Tighten 10x bolt
  5. 11. Lower vehicle
  6. 12. Top up engine oil. • Observe specified engine oil quantity • Start engine and allow to run until oil pressure telltale extinguishes. • Check engine oil level, if necessary correct.
  7. 13. Close bonnet
