Engine Oil with Oil Filter Change Opel Vectra C

Remove

1. 1. Open bonnet
2. 2. Raise vehicle by its entire height
3. 3. Detach lower engine compartment cover and right-hand engine splash protection if necessary
4. 4. Place collecting basin underneath.
5. 5. Drain engine oil • Slacken oil drain bolt • Drain engine oil • Unscrew oil drain bolt

Note. Slowly unscrew the oil drain bolt until the oil drain bore is exposed

6. 6. Remove oil filter • Unscrew oil filter housing cover (2) • Remove oil filter element (1) • Replace seal ring (3)

Install

7. 7. Install oil filter • Insert new oil filter element • Tighten oil filter housing cover 25 Nm
8. 8. Screw in drain bolt • Replace seal ring • Tighten bolt 20 Nm
9. 9. Attach lower engine compartment cover and right-hand engine splash protection if removed
10. 10. Lower vehicle by its entire height
11. 11. Top up engine oil. • Observe specified engine oil quantity • Start engine and allow to run until oil pressure telltale extinguishes. • Check engine oil level, if necessary correct.
12. 12. For vehicles up to MY 2005: Service plan ECO Service-Flex
13. 13. For vehicles from MY 2006: Service Plan ECOService
14. 14. Close bonnet
