Important: When working on the fuel system maintaining cleanliness is essential, otherwise small particles of dirt may result in engine operating faults or fuel system faults. Open fuel connections must be sealed off with suitable sealing plugs from the kit (45 06 154). Sealing plugs are designed for single use only.
Note. Injectors can also be replaced individually. When replacing the injectors, any injector may be installed as a replacement (similar to the injectors installed during assembly at the engine plant). The IMA code on the new injector must then be programmed in using TECH 2.
- 1. Open bonnet
- 2. Waiting period for pressure release
- 3. Disconnect battery.
- 4. Detach engine cover. • Unscrew 2x bolt • Unscrew oil filler cap • Remove engine cover • Screw in oil filler cap
- 5. Detach wiring harness • Unscrew 4x bolt (1) • Disconnect 4x injector wiring harness plugs (1)
