Replace Con-Rod Bearing Opel Vectra C

Remove

1. 1. Remove oil pan
2. 2. Remove con-rod bearing cap(2) with con-rod bearing shell • Unscrew 2x bolt (1)

Note. Pay attention to mark on con-rod bearing cap and con-rod. If not present, apply mark.

3. 3. Remove con-rod bearing shell from con-rod
4. 4. Inspect components • Con-rod end, con-rod bearing journal, con-rod bearing cap

Install

5. 5. Degrease con-rod bearing journals
6. 6. Insert 2x new con-rod bearing shells • Con-rod bearing cap • Con-rod end

Note. Pay attention to colour markings (1)

7. 7. Install con-rod bearing cap with con-rod bearing shell • Tighten 2x new bolts 25 Nm + 60°

Note. Pay attention to markings on con-rod bearing cap and con-rod.

8. 8. Install oil pan
