Remove and Install Oil Filter Housing Opel Vectra C

Remove

1. 1. Open bonnet
2. 2. Disconnect battery.
3. 3. Release front wheel • Release 5x bolt
4. 4. Raise vehicle
5. 5. Detach front wheel • Unscrew 5x bolt
6. 6. Detach guide joint • From steering knuckle • Unscrew nut – Remove bolt
7. 7. Press out axle shaft • From intermediate shaft
8. 8. Drain coolant • Place collecting basin underneath. • Open drain bolt (arrow)

9. 9. Raise vehicle
10. 10. Detach lower engine compartment cover and right-hand engine splash protection if necessary
11. 11. Remove oil filter • Collect escaping oil. • Unscrew cover of oil filter housing (2) and remove with oil filter element (1) • Replace seal ring (3)

12. 12. Close coolant drain bolt
13. 13. Disconnect wiring harness plug (1) • From oil pressure switch (2)

14. 14. Remove 2x hoses • Release 2x clamp (1) – Place collecting basin underneath.
15. 15. Remove oil filter housing (3) • Unscrew 3x bolt (2)

Install

16. 16. Cleaning work
17. 17. Install oil filter housing • Replace 2x gasket • 3x bolts 50 Nm
18. 18. Attach 2x hose • Secure 2x clamp
19. 19. Connect wiring harness plug. • On oil pressure switch
20. 20. Install oil filter • Screw in cover, oil filter housing 30 Nm
21. 21. Lower vehicle
22. 22. Install axle shaft • In intermediate shaft
23. 23. Attach guide joint • Nut 60 Nm

Note. Replace nut and bolt.

24. 24. Raise vehicle
25. 25. Attach lower engine compartment cover and right-hand engine splash protection if removed
26. 26. Lower vehicle
27. 27. Attach front wheel • Screw in 5x bolt
28. 28. Lower vehicle
29. 29. Secure front wheel • 5x bolts 110 Nm
30. 30. Top up coolant
31. 31. Connect battery.
32. 32. Program volatile memories
33. 33. Check engine oil level and correct if necessary. • Observe specified engine oil quantity
34. 34. Close bonnet
