Replace Switchover Valve Vacuum Unit Opel Astra H

Remove

1. 1. Open bonnet
2. 2. Remove engine cover • Unscrew 2x bolts (1) • Remove oil filler cap (2)

3. 3. Disconnect ground cable from battery • Loosen bolt
4. 4. Disconnect 2x wiring harness plugs (1)
5. 5. Disconnect knock sensor wiring harness plug (2) • Unclip from bracket
6. 6. Detach ground cable (7) from engine control unit • Unscrew bolt (6) • Remove bracket (5)
7. 7. Remove engine control unit • Slacken bolt (3) • Remove 2 bolts (4) • Remove engine control unit

8. 8. Remove switchover valve vacuum unit • Disconnect vacuum hose (2) • Unclip actuation lever (1) • Unscrew 2x bolts (arrows)

Install

9. 9. Install switchover valve vacuum unit • Tighten 2x bolts • Clip actuation lever to ball head • Attach vacuum hose
10. 10. Attach engine control unit • Tighten 3x bolt 8 Nm
11. 11. Attach bracket and ground cable to engine control unit • Tighten bolt
12. 12. Connect knock sensor wiring harness plug • Clip into bracket
13. 13. Connect 2x engine control unit wiring harness plugs
14. 14. Connect ground cable to battery • Tighten bolt
15. 15. Install engine cover • Tighten 2x bolts • Fit cap to oil filler neck
16. 16. Close bonnet
