How to Replace the Accessory Drive Opel Astra H

Remove

1. 1. Remove air cleaner housing
2. 2. Remove engine splash guard (right-hand)
3. 3. Detach ribbed V-belt • Mark direction of rotation • Apply tension to ribbed V-belt tensioner (1) anticlockwise and fix with KM-6130 – Remove ribbed-V-belt

4. 4. Block crankshaft. • Attach KM-6625 – Detach screwed connection (1) – Insert KM-6625 (2) – Tighten screwed connection (3)

5. 5. Detach torsional vibration damper (3) • Unscrew bolt (4)
6. 6. Detach ribbed V-belt tensioner (1) • Unscrew bolt (2) – Ribbed V-belt tensioner remains locked with KM-6130

Install

7. 7. Attach ribbed V-belt tensioner (2) • Tighten bolt 50 Nm
8. 8. Fit torsional vibration damper • Tighten bolt 95 Nm + 30° + 15°

Important. Use new bolt

9. 9. Remove KM-6625 • Detach screwed connection • Tighten bolted connection – Use new nuts
10. 10. Install ribbed V-belt (1) • Apply tension to ribbed V-belt tensioner in the direction of the arrow (anti-clockwise) • Position ribbed V-belt • Remove KM-6130 (3)

Note. Observe direction of rotation

11. 11. Attach engine splash guard
12. 12. Lower vehicle
13. 13. Install air cleaner housing
