Replace High Pressure Pump Spur Gear Opel Vectra C

Remove

1. 1. Remove timing case cover

Important. Screw in M6x20 bolt flush

2. 2. Screw in fixing bolt - spur gear - high pressure pump (1)
3. 3. Remove 2 spur gears • Disconnect incremental disc - crankshaft (3) • Unscrew 4x bolt (2)

4. 4. Remove outer spur gear - high pressure pump • Attach KM-6376 (2) – Screw in nut (3) • Unscrew bolt (M6) (1) • Unscrew nut

Important. For safety reasons, KM-6376 must be installed with nut (3).

5. 5. Remove inner spur gear of high pressure pump • Remove spring • Screw in 2x M6 bolts (arrows) evenly • Unscrew 2 bolts M6

Note. Press spur gear off the shaft by turning the bolts evenly.

Install

Important. Note seat of spring washer.

6. 6. Install inner spur gear, high pressure pump • Insert spring
7. 7. Install outer spur gear, high pressure pump • Use KM-6376 (1) • Screw in nut (3) • Screw in M6 bolt (4)

Note. Do not screw bolt in too far.

8. 8. Fix outer spur gear, high pressure pump • Tighten fixing bolt-M6 (2)

Note. 2nd mechanic is required. Apply tension to outer spur gear with suitable tool (e.g. 2x screwdriver).

9. 9. Remove KM-6376 (1) • Unscrew nut (3) • Unscrew M6 bolt (4)

10. 10. Raise vehicle by its entire height
11. 11. Set cylinder 1 to TDC • Insert torsional vibration damper • Remove torsional vibration damper

Note. Turn crankshaft with KM-6347 (1), KM-956-1 (2), and align oil pump housing.

Important. Note guide pins and oil ducts.

12. 12. Install 2x spur gear (4) • Insert 2 spur gears – Marks (arrows) on all spur gears (1), (3) and (4) must be aligned. Turn the high pressure pump spur wheel if necessary. The cooling pump spur gear (2) has no marking. • Tighten 4x bolt 35 Nm • Insert incremental disc - crankshaft sensor

Note. First install lower spur gear

Important. "FT" marking must be visible

13. 13. Lower vehicle by its entire height
14. 14. Unscrew and remove fixing bolt, high pressure pump, spur gear
15. 15. Install timing case cover
