Important: Extreme cleanliness is important when working on the fuel system, since even minute dirt particles can cause engine or fuel system problems. Open fuel connections must be sealed with suitable sealing plugs from the Opel parts catalogue (catalogue number: 45 06 154 / part number: 9201697). Sealing plugs are determined for one-off use.
Remove
- 1. Open bonnet
- 2. Disconnect battery. • Detach ground clamp from ground terminal – Remove nut
- 3. Unclip engine cover • 4x clips
- 4. Remove rail pressure sensor (1) from pressure reservoir • Disconnect wiring harness connector. • Unscrew rail pressure sensor
Install
- 5. Install rail pressure sensor in pressure reservoir • Tighten rail pressure sensor 70 Nm • Connect wiring harness plug
- 6. Connect battery. • Attach ground clamp to ground terminal – Tighten nuts
- 7. Check fuel system for leaks • Start engine.
Important. Wear protective goggles and gloves.
Note. Check fuel system for escaping fuel.
- 8. Install engine cover. • Clip in 4x
- 9. Program volatile memories
- 10. Program the sensor rail pressure with Tech 2
- 11. Close bonnet
