How to Replace the Sensor - Oil Temperature Opel Vectra C

Remove

1. 1. Open bonnet
2. 2. Raise vehicle by its entire height
3. 3. Remove lower engine compartment cover / splash protection
4. 4. Drain engine oil • Place collecting basin underneath. • Unscrew engine oil drain bolt

5. 5. Remove oil temperature sensor (1) • Disconnect wiring harness connector.

Install

6. 6. Install oil temperature sensor • Replace seal ring • Connect wiring harness plug
7. 7. Tighten engine oil drain bolt 42 Nm • Replace seal ring
8. 8. Attach engine compartment cover and right-hand engine splash guard if removed
9. 9. Lower vehicle by its entire height
10. 10. Top up engine oil. • Check engine oil level, if necessary correct. • Start engine and allow to run until oil pressure telltale extinguishes.
11. 11. Close bonnet
