How to Replace the Vacuum Pump Opel Vectra C

Remove

1. 1. Remove fuel injection system control unit
2. 2. Remove timing case vent pipe (1) • Release 2x clamp • Unscrew 2x bolt (2)

3. 3. Remove fuel injection system control unit retaining plate (1) • Unscrew 4x bolt (2) • Unclip vacuum line to brake servo

4. 4. Remove connection hose from charge air pipe to intake pipe (1) • Release 2x clamp

5. 5. Remove connection hose from air intake pipe to turbocharger (1) • Release 2x clamp

6. 6. Remove turbocharger retaining plate (1) • Unscrew 4x nut • Unscrew 2x bolt • Detach coolant pipe bracket – Unscrew 2x bolt

Note. Note dissimilar bolt lengths

7. 7. Remove air intake hose (1) • Disconnect intake air temperature sensor wiring harness plug • Unscrew lower air intake pipe bolt (arrow) • Release 2x clamp

8. 8. Detach vacuum line for brake servo (1) from vacuum pump • Undo quick-release fitting

9. 9. Remove vacuum pump (1) • Detach vacuum hose • Unscrew 4x bolt • Remove gasket.

Install

10. 10. Install vacuum pump • Replace gasket • Tighten 4x bolts 17 Nm • Attach vacuum hose

Note. Ensure drive is seated correctly

11. 11. Attach vacuum line for brake servo to vacuum pump • Connect quick-release fitting

Important. Joint must engage audibly

12. 12. Install air intake pipe. • Tighten 2x clamp 3,5 Nm • Tighten bolt • Connect intake air temperature sensor wiring harness plug
13. 13. Install turbocharger retaining plate • Attach coolant pipe bracket – Tighten 2x bolt • Tighten 2x bolt • Tighten 4x nut • Clip in brake servo vacuum line

Note. Note dissimilar bolt lengths

14. 14. Install connection hose from air intake pipe to turbocharger • Tighten 2x clamp 3,5 Nm
15. 15. Install connection hose from charge air pipe to intake pipe • Tighten 2x clamp 3,5 Nm
16. 16. Install fuel injection system control unit retaining plate • Tighten 4x bolt
17. 17. Install timing case vent pipe • Secure 2x clamp • Tighten 2x bolt
18. 18. Install control unit, fuel injection system
