Camshafts

1. Tooth flank clearance compensator

The inlet camshaft drives the exhaust camshaft by means of a spur gear. Thanks to this design, it has been possible to keep the width of the camshaft housing compact. For detection of "cylinder 1 TDC" a dot is marked (arrow) on the spur gear of each camshaft - these dots must line up.
