Replace Engine Damping Block (Front) Opel Vectra C

Remove

  1. 1. Open bonnet
  2. 2. Disconnect battery. • Detach earth terminal – Remove nut
  3. 3. Raise vehicle by its entire height
  4. 4. Detach engine compartment cover and right-hand engine splash guard if present
  5. 5. For vehicles with manual transmission: detach coolant hose bracket (1) from engine damping block • Remove bolt
  6. 6. For vehicles with manual transmission: remove front engine damping block • Unscrew 3 bolts (arrows) – Counterhold at nut (2)
  1. 7. For vehicles with automatic transmission: detach coolant hose bracket from engine damping block • Remove bolt (5)
  2. 8. For vehicles with automatic transmission: remove front engine damping block (2) • Detach from transmission – Unscrew 3x bolt (1) • From front axle body – Remove bolt (3) – Counterhold at nut (4)

Install

  1. 9. For vehicles with automatic transmission: install front engine damping block • Attach to transmission – Tighten 3x bolt 80 Nm • To front axle body – Tighten screwed joint 80 Nm
  2. 10. For vehicles with automatictransmission: attach coolant hose bracket to engine damping block • Tighten bolt
  3. 11. For vehicles with manual transmission: install front engine damping block • Tighten screwed joint 80 Nm • Tighten 2x bolt 80 Nm
  4. 12. For vehicles with manual transmission: attach coolant hose bracket to engine damping block • Tighten bolt
  5. 13. Attach engine compartment cover and right-hand engine splash guard if removed
  6. 14. Lower vehicle by its entire height
  7. 15. Connect battery. • Attach earth clamp to negative terminal – Tighten nuts
  8. 16. Program volatile memories
  9. 17. Close bonnet
