How to Replace (Z 19 DTH) the Right-Hand Engine Bracket Opel Vectra C

Remove

  1. 1. Open bonnet
  2. 2. Disconnect battery.
  3. 3. Detach engine cover. • 4x clips
  4. 4. Raise vehicle by its entire height
  5. 5. Detach lower engine compartment cover and right-hand engine splash protection if necessary
  6. 6. Detach torsional vibration damper • Release 4x bolts
  7. 7. Remove ribbed V-belt • Mark direction of movement of ribbed V-belt • Tension the ribbed V-belt tension roller at bolt (1) in a clockwise direction (direction of arrow) • Insert KM-6349 (2)
  1. 8. Remove ribbed V-belt tensioner (1) • Tension ribbed V-belt tensioner – Remove KM-6349 • Release ribbed V-belt tensioner • Remove bolt
  2. 9. Remove torsional vibration damper (2) • Unscrew 4x bolt
  1. 10. Detach ribbed V-belt upper guide roller • Remove bolt
  2. 11. Attach KM-6313 (1) • Place KM-6313 on left on front axle body (arrows, Fig. I) • Attach both right holders on the front axle body (arrows, Illus. II). • Tighten 2x bolt

Note. Guide pin must be seated in bore in front axle body

  1. 12. Attach KM-6313-100 (2) • Remove bolt of compressor support • Attach adapter (1) – Screw in bolt
  2. 13. Adjust 3x support • Transmission side • Engine Timing Side

Note. Turn spindles (3) until the mounts are positioned at the guide journals free of play

Note. Insert journal of support in angle bracket, ensuring it is free of play, tighten nut

  1. 14. Lower vehicle by its entire height
  2. 15. Remove pollen filter housing
  3. 16. Remove right engine damping block • Release engine bracket adapter – Unscrew 3x bolt (1) • Loosen engine damping block – Unscrew 2x bolt – Unscrew nut (2)
  1. 17. Detach upper toothed belt cover • Unscrew 7x bolt (arrows)
  1. 18. Raise vehicle by its entire height
  2. 19. Release right engine bracket • Unscrew 2x bolt (1)
  3. 20. Lower vehicle by its entire height
  4. 21. Remove right engine bracket • Unscrew 3x bolt (2)

Install

  1. 22. Insert right engine bracket • Screw in 3x bolt

Note. Note that the bolts are different

  1. 23. Raise vehicle by its entire height
  2. 24. Fasten right engine bracket • 2x bolts 25 Nm

Note. Note that the bolts are different

  1. 25. Lower vehicle by its entire height
  2. 26. Fasten right engine bracket • 3x bolts 50 Nm
  3. 27. Attach upper toothed belt cover • 7x bolts – 5x bolt (M6) 9 Nm – 2x bolts (M8) 25 Nm
  4. 28. Install right engine damping block • 5x bolts 55 Nm • Nut 55 Nm
  5. 29. Raise vehicle by its entire height
  6. 30. Detach KM-6313-100 • Remove bolt • Detach support • Bolt 50 Nm – From compressor support
  7. 31. Detach KM-6313
  8. 32. Attach ribbed V-belt upper guide roller • Bolt 50 Nm
  9. 33. Place torsional vibration damper in position • Screw in 4x bolt

Note. Ensure correct installation position

  1. 34. Install ribbed V-belt tensioner • Bolt 50 Nm • Tension ribbed V-belt tensioner • Insert KM-6349
  2. 35. Install ribbed V-belt • Install ribbed V-belt. Ribbed V-belt routing with air conditioning system Ribbed V-belt routing without air conditioning system • Remove KM-6349

Note. Pay attention to direction of travel

  1. 36. Fasten torsional vibration damper • 4x bolts 25 Nm
  2. 37. Attach lower engine compartment cover and right-hand engine splash protection if removed
  3. 38. Lower vehicle by its entire height
  4. 39. Install air cleaner housing
  5. 40. Connect battery.
  6. 41. Program volatile memories
  7. 42. Close bonnet
