Remove
- 1. Remove toothed belt
Important. The valves may be damaged if the camshaft is accidentally turned
- 2. Release camshaft sprocket, cylinders-1-3-5 (1) • Counterhold it with KM-6379 (3) together with KM-956-1 (2) • Loosen bolt
Note. 2nd mechanic is required.
- 3. Remove camshaft sprocket, cylinders-1-3-5 • Remove bolt
- 4. Dismantle camshaft sprocket for cylinders 1, 3 and 5 (1) • Unscrew 5x bolt
Important. The valves may be damaged if the camshaft is accidentally turned
- 5. Release camshaft sprocket, cylinders 2, 4 and 6 (1) • Counterhold it with KM-6379 (3) together with KM-956-1 (2) • Loosen bolt
Note. 2nd mechanic is required.
- 6. Remove camshaft sprocket, cylinders 2, 4 and 6 • Remove bolt
- 7. Dismantle camshaft sprocket for cylinders 2, 4 and 6 • Unscrew 5x bolt
Install
- 8. Assemble camshaft sprocket for cylinders 1, 3 and 5 • Tighten 5 bolts 4 Nm
- 9. Install camshaft sprocket, cylinders-1-3-5 • Screw in bolt
Important. The valves may be damaged if the camshaft is accidentally turned
- 10. Fasten camshaft sprocket, cylinders-1-3-5 • Counterhold it with KM-6379 together with KM-956-1 • Tighten bolt 120 Nm
Note. 2nd mechanic is required.
- 11. Assemble camshaft sprocket for cylinders 2, 4 and 6 • Tighten 5 bolts 4 Nm
Note. Ensure that the rotor (1) is in the correct position on the camshaft sprocket.
- 12. Install camshaft sprocket, cylinders 2, 4 and 6 • Screw in bolt
Important. The valves may be damaged if the camshaft is accidentally turned
- 13. Fasten camshaft sprocket, cylinders 2, 4 and 6 • Counterhold it with KM-6379 together with KM-956-1 • Tighten bolt 120 Nm
Note. 2nd mechanic is required.
- 14. Install toothed belt
