Replace Left-Hand Engine Damping Block Opel Vectra C

DOHC Diesel Engine 7 illustrations ~450 words

Remove

  1. 1. Open bonnet
  2. 2. Disconnect battery. • Detach earth terminal – Remove nut
  3. 3. Raise vehicle by its entire height
  4. 4. Detach engine compartment cover and right-hand engine splash guard if present
  5. 5. Detach oil temperature sensor wiring harness • Disconnect wiring harness connector. • Unclip 2x wiring harness and lay aside
  1. 6. Install KM-6352 (1) • Insert base plate • Insert support with bracket • Screw in 2x bolt • Adjust support – Turn spindle until the bracket is in contact. The two bolts of the upper part of the oil pan must sit in the bracket (arrows) • Tighten 2x bolt
  1. 7. Attach KM-6313 (1) • Place on left on front axle body (arrows, Fig. I) • Attach 2x bracket on right to front axle body (arrows, Illus. II) • Tighten 2x bolt

Note. Guide pin must be seated in bore in front axle body

  1. 8. Adjust 2x support

Note. Turn spindles until the mounts are positioned at the guide journals free of play

  1. 9. Lower vehicle by its entire height
  2. 10. Remove battery. • Detach positive clamp – Remove nut • Remove heat insulation • Remove battery bracket (1) – Remove bolt
  1. 11. Remove battery support. • Unclip 2 fuses (3) • Remove side of battery support (2) • Unclip 3 wiring harnesses from battery support • Unscrew 3x bolt (1)
  1. 12. Remove left engine damping block adapter (2) • Detach from left engine damping block (1) – Unscrew 3x bolt • Detach from transmission – Unscrew 3x bolt
  2. 13. Remove left engine damping block from side member • Unscrew 4x bolt

Install

  1. 14. Install left engine damping block on side member • Tighten 4x bolt 20 Nm
  2. 15. Install left engine damping block adapter • Attach to transmission – Tighten 3x bolt 55 Nm • Attach to left engine damping block – Tighten 3x bolt 55 Nm
  3. 16. Install battery support • Tighten 3x bolt • Clip 3 wiring harnesses into battery support • Install side of battery support • Clip in 2 fuses
  4. 17. Install battery. • Install battery bracket – Tighten bolt • Install heat insulation • Attach positive clamp – Tighten nuts
  5. 18. Raise vehicle by its entire height
  6. 19. Detach KM-6313
  7. 20. Remove KM-6352
  8. 21. Attach wiring harness, oil temperature sensor • Clip in 2x wiring harness • Connect wiring harness plug
  9. 22. Attach engine compartment cover and right-hand engine splash guard if removed
  10. 23. Lower vehicle by its entire height
  11. 24. Connect battery. • Attach negative clamp to negative terminal – Tighten nuts
  12. 25. Close bonnet
  13. 26. Program volatile memories
