Important: Extreme cleanliness is important when working on the fuel system, since even minute dirt particles can cause engine or fuel system problems. Open fuel connections must be sealed with suitable sealing plugs from the Opel parts catalogue (catalogue number: 45 06 154 / part number: 9201697). Sealing plugs are determined for one-off use.
Remove
- 1. Remove intake manifold upper part
- 2. Remove 2 high pressure line brackets (1) • Remove bolt • Unscrew nut
- 3. Remove 6 high pressure lines from pressure reservoir to injectors (1 and 2) • Unscrew 12x lock nut
Note. Close off any open fuel connections with suitable stoppers
- 4. Remove high pressure line from high pressure pump to pressure reservoir (1) • Unscrew 2x union nut
Note. Close off any open fuel connections with suitable stoppers
- 5. Remove pressure reservoir (3) • Detach fuel line from pressure reservoir(2) – Remove bolt • Unscrew 2x bolt (1) • Disconnect wiring harness plug (4)
Install
- 6. Install pressure reservoir • Connect wiring harness plug • Attach fuel line to pressure reservoir – Replace gasket – Tighten banjo bolt 20 Nm • Tighten 2x bolt 21 Nm
- 7. Install high pressure pump high pressure line to pressure reservoir • Tighten 2x lock nut 35 Nm
Note. Unscrew closure plugs
- 8. Install 6 high pressure lines from pressure reservoir to injectors • Tighten 12x lock nut 30 Nm
Note. Unscrew closure plugs
- 9. Install 2 high pressure line brackets • Tighten bolt 21 Nm • Tighten nuts
- 10. Install intake manifold upper part
